Planning a web app beyond the first screen
A web app is more than its interface. Before development, map where information comes from, who can change it, and what happens when a connected system is unavailable. These questions shape the database, API, and user experience.
Build the smallest useful workflow first. Test it with realistic records and the people who will use it. That usually reveals more than building a large feature list from assumptions.
Leave a clear path for support: error logs, documentation, access controls, and a way to deploy safely. The team running the app later should not have to reconstruct how it works.
