Planning an iOS app with sensitive workflows
Start with the people using the app and the information they need at each step. Map permissions and decide what is available offline. Then test what happens when a request fails, a session expires, or a user switches devices.
The release process matters as much as the first build. Identify who approves changes, how issues are reported, and which events need to be logged. App updates can change behavior for everyone at once, so test against realistic accounts and data.
Where health, financial, or other sensitive information is involved, include the organization’s privacy and security reviewers in the plan.
