Next.js or WordPress for a new website?
WordPress includes a familiar publishing system and a large plugin ecosystem. Next.js gives a development team flexibility to build custom routes, data flows, and interfaces, but needs an editing setup alongside it.
Both can be fast or slow depending on the implementation. Both need someone to maintain the site. A small publishing site may fit WordPress well; a site with unusual workflows may justify a custom application.
Write down who edits content, which integrations are required, and who supports the site after launch. Those answers matter more than a framework preference.
