Wireframes that settle the hard decisions
A wireframe should show what someone is trying to do, what information they need, and what happens next. Start with a real task rather than a generic page template. Include errors, empty states, and any approval step that changes the flow.
Put the wireframe in front of the people who will use or support the system. Ask them to walk through a task without explaining the screen. Note where they hesitate or need information that is missing.
Once the workflow is sound, visual design can make it easier to scan and more distinctive. Wireframes are a way to make decisions, not an end product.
